Months ago, I planted potatoes in containers ... it's an annual tradition, as we don't live on a farm or an appreciable amount of property. It's more of a labor of love ... a lesson in sustainability ... gaining a small amount of control that relates to earlier times.

I love to rescue and reuse items for other purposes than their originally intended ones. I found these cute red girl's shoes at Good Will. I was immediately reminded of Dorothy's shoes in the Wizard of Oz and decided to add a few plants to bring new life to them.
